Assessing Strategies for Revolutionary Change:
A Marxist Critique of Anarchism

A discussion of John Molyneux's "Anarchism: A Marxist Criticism"

The rise of the Occupy movement has created a new opening for radical and revolutionary politics. A new generation of young people are coming to anti-capitalist conclusions and are seeking to figure out the meaning of revolution. Debates are emerging among new radicals about the most effective politics and strategies for bringing revolutionary change, as a result Anarchism and Marxism are experiencing a growth in popularity and interests. Though many currents of Anarchism recognize the need for radical change, their understanding of society and how to transform it are insufficient to the task at hand.
